INSTALLATION –
Travel to Grand Theft Auto V main directory -> plugins -> LSPDFR -> StopThePed, drag and drop the .xml files located in the .rar folder you downloaded into the StopThePed folder in your main directory.
How To Install Stop The Ped
Hello everybody, welcome back to another GTA 5 LSPDFR tutorial. Today, we’re going to show you how to install three fantastic plugins that will make your game feel much more realistic. I absolutely love them, so let’s get right into it.
Before we begin, I want to caution you about the website we’re using. It’s a bit sketchy and has a lot of ads, so be very careful about what you click on. The creator has also set up a Patreon page where you can download all the plugins directly without ads for just one dollar a month. I’ll leave the Patreon link in the description because we appreciate his plugins. However, I’ll show you how to use the website without spending a dollar and dealing with the ads. Just follow my lead.
First things first, go to your GTA 5 main directory. If you have it through Steam, right-click on Grand Theft Auto 5 in your Steam Library, go to Properties, Local Files, and then Browse Local Files. If you have the game from another source, that’s perfectly fine, as long as you know where your main directory is.
Now, we’ll start with “Stop The PED.” You may encounter ads along the way, so I’ll be cautious and take my time. Click on “Stop The PED,” and if an ad pops up, simply close it. Clicking the right download button without ads should be our goal. Scroll down to find “Stop The PED” version 0.9.5.1, and click the download button with the downward arrow. This is the one we want. Ignore the other download buttons.
Download it and save it to your computer. You’ll likely get a warning that your computer doesn’t like the file, but it’s nothing harmful; it’s just a GTA 5 mod. Choose “Keep” to proceed.
Now that we have “Stop The PED” downloaded, let’s go back to the main page and download “Ultimate Backup.” Again, be cautious with ads. Click on “Ultimate Backup,” scroll down to find the appropriate version, and click the download button to save it.
Once it’s downloaded, proceed to keep it despite any warnings. Now we have both “Stop The PED” and “Ultimate Backup” downloaded.
Let’s go back to the main page one more time to download “Computer+” in the same manner. Click on “Computer+,” find the right version, and download it. Then, keep the file despite any warnings.
Congratulations! You’ve successfully downloaded “Stop The PED,” “Ultimate Backup,” and “Computer+.” These plugins will enhance the realism of your GTA 5 game. Be sure to follow the installation instructions for each of these plugins to complete the process. Enjoy your more realistic gaming experience!
Pulled up an ad, I’m going to quickly click the X button to close it. Clicked on another ad, and now we’re going to Computer+.
Click on “Computer Light,” scroll down, and download it by clicking the download button. Wait for it to download, and then click on the three dots. Choose “Keep,” go to “Show More,” and select “Keep Anyway.”
Now we have all three of them downloaded. I know the site is sketchy, but these are amazing plugins, and many people use them. However, you can consider joining the creator’s Patreon to download the plugins without ads.
All three plugins are downloaded, and there are no viruses on your computer. Now, let’s proceed with the installation. I use WinRAR to open zip files, but you can use any similar program.
Open WinRAR, go to the x64 bit version (top option), and download it if you don’t have it already. This will help you open zip files. You can find the download link in the description.
Now, let’s open the zip files we’ve downloaded. Start with “Stop The PED” by clicking on it. Ensure your GTA 5 main directory is open separately.
Inside the “Stop The PED” folder, don’t select the “RAGE Native UI” folder because it hasn’t been updated since December 19, 2021. Instead, drag and drop the “plugins” folder into your GTA 5 main directory. Confirm the file replacement when prompted.
Next, open the “Ultimate Backup” zip file, select the “plugins” folder, and drag it into your GTA 5 main directory. Again, confirm file replacement if prompted.
Lastly, open the “Computer Light” zip file, select the “plugins” folder, and drag it into your GTA 5 main directory. Confirm file replacement if prompted.
Now, let’s change the keybindings for these plugins. Go to your GTA 5 main directory, navigate to “plugins,” and find the “LSPDFR” folder.
Inside the “LSPDFR” folder, find the “StopThePED.ini” file. Right-click on it and choose “Edit” with Notepad. Change the “stop_the_ped_key” to a different key if you wish. For example, you can change it to “K” by replacing “E.”
Save the file and close it.
Now, find the “UltimateBackup.ini” file in the same “LSPDFR” folder. Right-click and choose “Edit.” Change the “key_binding” to a different key if needed. For instance, you can change it to “L.”
Save the file and close it.
With these changes made, you’ve successfully installed and configured the three plugins.
To continue from where we left off:
Now that we’re inside GTA 5, let me show you how “Stop The PED,” “Ultimate Backup,” and “Computer Light” work. These mods will enhance your LSPDFR experience significantly.
First, let’s change some keybindings. Open the “Stop The PED” settings by going to the “LSPDFR” folder, right-clicking on “StopThePED.ini,” and selecting “Edit” with Notepad. Change the “stop_the_ped_key” to a capital “O.” Save the file and close it.
Next, find the “UltimateBackup.ini” file in the same folder, right-click on it, and select “Edit.” Change the “key_binding” to a capital “L.” Save the file and close it.
For “Computer Light,” right-click on it, select “Edit,” and change the key from “E” to a capital “L.” Save the file and close it.
With the keybindings configured, let’s jump back into GTA 5 to see how these mods work.
Now that we’re inside GTA 5, let’s explore the features of these mods:
- “Stop The PED”:
- Press “G” to toggle the realistic weapon system. This allows you to carry multiple weapons simultaneously.
- You can access your trunk by pressing “G” and perform various actions, such as narcotics field tests, serial number checks on firearms, and deploying traffic cones.
- To deploy traffic cones, press “G,” and you can place them wherever you want.
- To remove cones, approach them and press “G.” You can choose to remove the nearest cone or all cones.
- If you need to replenish armor, health, or ammo, go to your trunk and press “G” to access these options.
- If you want to stop a pedestrian, double-tap the letter “K.” Then, use “K” again to interact with the stopped individual, performing actions like requesting ID, conducting searches, and more.
- “Ultimate Backup”:
- Press “L” to call for backup. You can choose from various backup options, such as requesting additional units, air support, K9 units, and more.
- Backup will arrive to assist you during in-game situations.
- “Computer Light”:
- Press “L” to open your in-game police computer, allowing you to access vehicle and suspect information, perform license plate checks, and other law enforcement tasks.
“Press K again, and I’m going to pat the suspect down. When we pat him down, technically, it is searching him, but it gives us a list of what he has on him. You can see right here: a bag of unmarked pills, a handgun, a baggie of heroin. Since we found a handgun on him, let’s go ahead and cuff him. You’re under arrest, piece of crap! Have him turn around; we’ll go ahead and cuff him and place him inside our cruiser. If we walk next to our cruiser, we can press the letter G, or it will prompt you to ‘Put into rear seat.’ So, I’m going to go ahead and put him in the rear seat. We’re going to open the door for him; he is now going to take a seat. I’m going to close that door. Now, if we go to the back of our vehicle, we can press the letter G. We found drugs on him, and we also found a firearm. Let’s do a narcotics field test to see what these pills are that he had on him. So, it looks like he has a bag of unmarked pills. I’m going to hit enter, and we’re going to test for ecstasy, and it shows that it is positive for ecstasy. If it is something else, let’s say LSD; if it’s not positive, you will see results say ‘negative’ in the left-hand corner. So, it says ‘negative,’ so we found them positive. So, he does have ecstasy on him. Let’s also run that firearm. We’ll go right here, ‘Evidence Check,’ let’s go ‘Weapon Serial Number Check,’ and we’ll have dispatch run the serial number on the handgun right there: Mike 780-393 Tom, and it looks like it comes back registered to him.
Now that we found drugs on this guy, we’re going to go ahead and hop inside our cruiser. Now that we are inside our cruiser, all we have to do is hold down ‘L.’ When we hold down ‘L,’ it pulls up ‘Computer Light.’ What ‘Computer Light’ is, it’s your computer system where you have court cases, vehicle records, and pet records. The guy that we have stopped right now is Jack Hoffman, and we are going to go ahead and see everything about him. He’s 29 years of age; he lives at 8377 Sonora Freeway. I don’t know how he lives off the freeway, but we’re going to go ahead and create an arrest report. So, we got him, and I have a new plugin that has more realistic charges and citations, which I have to put back in. But we got him for possession of ecstasy. Okay, so we can go ahead and submit those charges. He also does not have a license to carry a concealed firearm, so we could go right here, we can go to ‘Other Possessions.’ It looks like I don’t have a—I mean, you could put ‘Illegal Possession of a Firearm,’ since it’s the only really one that you could put in. But we’re going to submit some charges, so he has two charges here. Okay, so what we can do is, if we want, we can call for backup, we can hit the letter ‘G,’ call transport for suspect. Assistance required. So now we have a transport unit coming in to transport the suspect for us. So we’ll go ahead and let that unit go in and take him for us. This unit’s going to walk up to the vehicle and get him out of the vehicle for us. We’ll let that guy go in and take him, and it doesn’t matter; he could still be sitting in the back seat for you. I’m going to show you how to use court cases. So they’re going to go ahead and take him, so Jack right there is going to go ahead and go bye-bye. Now, the other individual that was next to him is still sitting here. Say you don’t want to talk to him; you can walk up to him, press the letter ‘K,’ and go ahead and dismiss the pet on foot. You can also call Uber for him. So I’m going to call Uber for him, and you will see how Uber will come up. I like using the Uber and the taxi for when someone doesn’t have a license. I’m not taking them to jail, but they’re on the side of the highway; I’ll call Uber and have them get a ride out of it. So you’ll see that Uber is pulling up now; he is going to go ahead and get in that Uber, and he’s going to leave the location, just like so. So now he is getting in the Uber, and he is now gone. You can also call for the insurance company to come pick up a vehicle if you like. So hop inside our cruiser, and let’s go ahead and go to court cases.
So the guy that we just stopped, Jack right here, has two charges. He got possession of ecstasy, and you can see outcomes right here, pending. If I reveal outcomes, he got four years in prison. Oh my God, he got four years in prison for possession of ecstasy. So you also see the other charge that we got in, and you can do all the charges at once, ‘Illegal possession of a firearm.’ He got a total of nine months in prison for that, four years and nine months in prison. So you can actually see what these people get once you charge them; it makes it feel that much more realistic. So we’re going to back up, and I’m going to go ahead and show you guys how to get a partner. So you have—you can get multiple partners; you can also get a K9 partner.”
“The letter ‘O’ and you go right here to the top ‘Backup Type,’ and you go ‘Canine Partner.’ You can spawn a K-9 partner in. So, say we want a K-9 partner, and we’re rolling as canine; we could spawn that K9 partner in. You will now see the canine partner, which is right there. We can go ahead and hit the letter ‘O’ again, go back to ‘Canine Partner,’ change the texture of the canine however you want your canine. You could change the texture on the vest; you could change the color; you can also change it where it says ‘Sheriff’ on it: ‘Rescue,’ ‘Security,’ ‘Police,’ and back to ‘Sheriff.’ If you don’t want the canine anymore, you could despawn the canine. So, say you want the canine inside your vehicle; walk up to your vehicle; it’s mostly on the right side where you can do it. Walk up to your vehicle, press the letter ‘T,’ just like that. Your canine will now jump inside the vehicle.
The canine is now inside the vehicle; you can close the door; you can walk away from the vehicle. Say you want your canine to be right there where you are; hold ‘T’ down; K9 will now exit the vehicle. Alright, so we have a K-9 right here. We are going to go ahead and despawn the canine. So, say you want the canine to attack someone, I believe if you press ‘T’ or holding ‘T,’ the K-9 partner will go ahead and attack the suspect if they run. Crap. So if this suspect runs, and I hit ‘T,’ the K-9 will attack this suspect. There we go. So you press the letter ‘T,’ not hold it down, but press the letter ‘T,’ and the canine will now attack that guy. So even though the canine attacked the guy, and he’s down, he’s going to get back up; he’s going to make it where I can go, ‘Yeah, I’m going to double-tap ‘K,’ and I’m going to go ahead and arrest him. Or what I can do is I can hold my gun at him, I can hit right on my d-pad and have him put his hands up. Using my controller, I can also have him put his hands up, and he will now get down on the ground. I could get right next to him, and I can hold ‘E’ and arrest him just like that. We now have the suspect in custody.
Say I want a backup unit to my location; I hit the letter ‘O’; I could call a patrol unit; I can ask for SWAT; I can ask for an ambulance. I’m going to call an ambulance since he got bit. Players and… So, I got an ambulance coming in to check him out, and I also have a backup unit coming in. So, say we don’t want the canine anymore; we’re done with the canine; let’s hit the letter ‘O’; let’s go to ‘Despawn Canine Partner.’ We’ll let EMS check this guy out; looks like he’s okay. We’ll go ahead and have the Southern Unicorn transfer him.
Now, what we’re going to do is show you guys how to get a partner for your patrol. So, you want a partner; hit the letter ‘O’; go to ‘Partner.’ You can spawn the partner with the same outfit that you have. You could recruit the nearest pet as your partner. You can go ahead and select what kind of firearm the partner has; you could copy from your player and what your player has, which would be the pistol. So what I’m going to do is spawn a partner with the player’s outfit, and now this partner is going to be right here next to me. He has the same outfit as what I have on me. And if I hop inside my vehicle and I hit the letter ‘T,’ he’s going to hop inside the vehicle with me. You always have to hit the letter ‘T’ for him to hop inside the vehicle with you, just like so.
So, say we go for a vehicle; let’s go over here; we’ll go pull a vehicle over there. I’m going to pull this guy over; hopefully, he doesn’t run for me.”
“He complied and exited the vehicle for us. Now, if you need backup, the great thing about backup units is that they’ll arrive right behind you and won’t obstruct traffic, as long as you’re not in the middle of traffic. You can see the ‘Backup Type’ option here; it currently says ‘Traffic Stop.’ You can choose between ‘Traffic Stop’ or ‘Felony Stop.’ Selecting ‘Felony Stop’ is suitable when dealing with someone wanted for a felony or a similar situation.
So, for this scenario, we’re going to call for a ‘Traffic Stop’ unit. As you can see, they will pull up right behind my vehicle.
“Roger that, we’re in the area.” They’re pulling up right behind me.
Now you have a backup unit with you. Additionally, you can request different types of backup, such as a K-9 unit. When the K-9 unit arrives, you can approach the canine and ask them to sniff around the vehicle. You can also request air spotlight support, a supervisor, or specify whether you need a response with lights and sirens (‘code three’) or without (‘code two’). There’s also the option for a partner K-9.
We’ve gone through the features of the plugin. Let’s hop back into our vehicle. The individual we pulled over has an expired license and expired insurance. To handle this, we can access their pet records and create citations. It also displays any previous citations. Under ‘Citations,’ you can find ‘Document Related’ items such as expired insurance, expired vehicle, and expired driver’s license. You can print these citations, and they will appear in court if you choose that option. If the person fails to appear in court, the citation won’t show up.
Let’s go ahead and submit the citations. We’ll return to the driver. Approaching him, we can press the letter ‘K’ to hand him the citation, issuing the ticket using Computer Light. There you go, we’ve just given him the citation, and now we can press ‘K’ again to have him get back in the vehicle and drive away.
He’ll return to the driver’s seat, and off he goes. So, there you have it, you now have a grasp of everything you need to know about Stop the Ped, Computer Light, and Ultimate Backup. I apologize for any inconvenience regarding the potentially sketchy site, but I wanted to demonstrate the installation process. You can also join the creator’s Patreon for as little as a dollar to access these plugins without dealing with that. Hopefully, none of you clicked on anything harmful. If you followed my steps, you should be fine. I don’t take responsibility for any issues that might arise; my aim is to help you install these fantastic plugins. Thanks for watching, and we’ll see you in the next one. Stay blessed and stay safe out there. And one more thing, please smash that like button if you found this helpful. We’ll see you in the next video. Peace!”
