Focus in iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 enables you to stay present when you need to focus or put your device down. You can change the Focus settings to suit your preferences, decide when to get alerts and notifications, and notify other users and apps when you’re occupied.
Activate focus
Select Focus under Settings.
Turn on the Focus by tapping one of the available options, such as Do Not Disturb, Personal, or Sleep.
Select settings such as Allowed Notifications, Time Sensitive Notifications, and Focus after choosing a Focus.
You can choose Allowed Notifications from individuals and apps when setting up a Focus. You can also enable time-sensitive app notifications, allowing notifications to be sent by apps that are not on your approved list.
From Control Center, you can also activate Focus. Simply open Control Center on your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch, tap and hold Focus, then choose the Focus you wish to activate.
status when setting focus and icon in message
Your status is automatically updated in the Messages app when you establish a Focus, and an icon for it displays in the status bar and on your lock screen. People who try to message you will see that you have disabled notifications, but they can still alert you if the message is important.
When you utilize Focus on one Apple device, all of your other Apple devices that are logged in with the same Apple ID will automatically take that setting into account. read more share focus status
